Worth it! I have always believed that paying more does not guarantee better quality and service. For once, I was proved wrong when I ventured into a much-talked about hair salon (with prior appointment, of course!).
A well-dressed and smart receptionist greeted me. On her desk was a cute Mac. My stylist was another smartly dressed woman, who knew what she as talking and doing. When she took me to wash my hair, I noticed it was clean. And so was the comb and pair of scissors and the towel. And there was no gossip or smirks among the stylists while they were attending to clients. It was strictly business.
And all the while a famous columnist and socialite sat a few feet away from me, her ear glued to her cell phone, talking loudly.
Every rupee I spent was worth it (but not because of the socialite!).
